Interested in ISDN services for a smaller office?
See ISDN2e if you have 2-8 staff.
Lines
- A single high-quality ISDN30/30e connection has between eight and thirty 64k channels. In normal operation you use these separately. This allows simultaneous calls over each channel
- You can add further connections to your installation, increasing the number of simultaneous calls and/or available data bandwidth
- A choice of delivery and diversion options helps to keep your business running in the event of a local technical failure
Devices
- With ISDN30/30e you have a choice of feature-rich digital switch/PBX equipment, available from BT and other suppliers
- There is a wide range of digital devices, including telephones, fax machines and ISDN cards for computers
Telephone numbers
- You can have an unlimited number of DDI numbers, allowing customers and business contacts to dial directly through to staff members, without passing through a switchboard
Benefit from “Back In Business” for FREE
As an ISDN30 customer, you’ll also benefit from “Back in Business”, which is supplied free of charge.
In the event of a service failure, Back in Business will give 2 options:
Call Centre Option
- Calls diverted to the BT Back in Business call centre
- Callers hear a recorded announcement, informing them that your business is experiencing difficulties.
- Customer is then transferred to a team, of advisors who will take their details.
- You can then receive these messages from us via mobile, fax or email at half hour or hourly/2 hourly intervals, the choice is yours.
Voicemail option
- A divert service will route all calls to our voice mail service
- You will have the ability to personalise the voicemail to your liking
- You can then access your messages remotely with your own personalised PIN number
Services
- BT offers a range of digital services for ISDN30/30e which provide advanced call-handling features
ISDN applications
- You can use ISDN for voice calls and for high-quality data links with other ISDN subscribers. Digital connections are often used for transferring large files securely, for video-conferencing and for linking Local Area Networks at different sites
- You can make data calls to other countries that have ISDN services
Internet
- If ADSL is not yet available in your area, you can connect to the Internet at 64kbps using one ISDN channel, or at 128kbps using two channels together. Since each channel is a true 64k connection, you will find that even one channel performs significantly better than a 56k dialup connection. (For an analogue dialup modem, 56k denotes the maximum speed possible, not the average connection speed)
