Line Rental
Wholesale Line Rental enables you to transfer your BT line rental (analogue and digital ISDN 30) to Cortel.
WLR is an automated service which diverts calls from the BT network to the Cortel network giving customers access to competitive call and line rental rates.
Customers who take this service will receive one bill for all call charges and line rentals and can continue to use any of their inbound BT Select Services.

What It Does
Choosing Calls & Lines will cancel all call charges and line rental billing by BT and move the services to Cortel. You will start to receive one bill showing line rental and itemised calls rather than two separate bills. This will not effect your lines or any of the services you have. We will continue to support those services and will itemise these charges on your bill.
How It Works
- We will assess your needs and fill in an order form for the phone lines and BT numbers that you want to transfer to Cortel.
- On completion of the order form, Cortel will contact BT on your behalf and instruct them to cancel all line rental and call billing. BT may contact you, via a phone call at this point to confirm your intention to transfer line rental and call charges to Cortel.
- We will provide you with an effective date. The effective date will be the date you stop being billed line rental and call charges by BT and will start being billed for line rental by Cortel.
- We will continue to support and bill BT Select Services you have set up on the line such as call waiting, call barring etc.
- You will receive one bill showing line rental and all call charges making your billing processes simpler.
- The service is provided at the local BT exchange meaning that no equipment needs to be installed at your premises and no change will occur to your lines.
- There is no interruption to your services and you can keep your phone numbers.
